Terms of use
These terms govern the use of the TaxiAhora platform by customers and drivers. By creating your account you accept them.
1. What TaxiAhora is
A platform that connects customers with licensed taxi drivers. The contract of carriage is between the customer and the driver; TaxiAhora is not a party to it and does not carry passengers.
2. Price and payment
The price is the official fare shown on the meter, including any official extras, or the official fixed fare where one applies. Distance, time and price estimates are only a guide. The customer pays the driver directly, in cash or by card if the taxi accepts it. TaxiAhora charges the customer nothing for booking.
3. Customer obligations
- Give true information and a correct pickup point, and be there when the taxi arrives.
- Say how many people are travelling and what you need (pets, wheelchair, luggage…).
- Treat the driver with respect and follow the rules for taxi travel.
- Cancel in time as set out in the cancellation policy.
4. Driver obligations
- Hold, or be authorised to drive under, a valid taxi licence issued by Transport Malta, and keep the licence, driving licence, the taxi driver tag (licence) issued by Transport Malta, insurance and all other legal requirements up to date.
- Give true information, photos and documents. Sign-up is automatic and based on a self-declaration.
- Carry out the journey under the local rules, charge the official fare and give a receipt when asked.
- Only offer options you really provide and keep your status up to date.
5. Driver subscription
Sign-up is free for the period stated when you register. After that a fixed-fee subscription is needed, with no commission per trip and no minimum term. The price and start date will be announced in good time. If the subscription is not paid, the account is paused until it is renewed. The driver can cancel at any time.
6. Ratings
After each journey the customer and the driver can rate each other. Ratings must be honest and respectful; TaxiAhora may hide offensive comments.
7. Suspension of accounts
The platform may pause or suspend accounts automatically, among other cases for false information, consistently poor ratings, complaints, repeated late cancellations or misuse. You can ask for a review through the contact page.
8. Liability
See liability for the journey.
9. Changes
We may update these terms for legal or operational reasons. Important changes will be announced with reasonable notice.
10. Governing law
Spanish law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. As a consumer you can also go to the courts where you live.
